Birmingham City Council’s Planning Committee unanimously resolved to grant planning permission for restoration and conversion of Birmingham’s Methodist Central Hall, a Grade II* Listed Building, into a high quality mixed-use hotel and apart-hotel facility on 1 March 2018. Jeff Nyman is SLR’s Director for the Built Environment Sector in Canada and has over 19 years’ experience planning and conducting Phase 1, 2 and 3 ESAs, completing remedial options assessments, developing remedial plans, substantive cost estimating, writing tender specifications, managing remediation projects, and designing and implementing hydrogeological assessments.
Jeff also manages SLR’s Federal Government Services. As the federal government business development lead he is responsible for contact with federal government department leads. Jeff also provides technical expertise to staff in Canada on federal government regulations and work requirements, including northern projects.
Jonathan Reynolds (EUR)Close
Jonathan is SLR’s Sector Lead for the Built Environment Sector in Europe and has over 16 years’ experience in Urban Design & Masterplanning across the UK.
Particular areas of expertise include the establishment of a design ‘vision’ for a site, followed by the preparation of masterplans and supporting design material for both greenfield and brownfield regeneration schemes, from small infill sites to major urban extensions and settlements. Jonathan can also undertake initial capacity assessments to help clients realise development potential by promoting sites through the planning system from an early stage. Jonathan has secured planning consent for a number of major development sites as part of a wider team, and has provided services as an expert witness for urban design & masterplanning.

Jay Russell has over 20 years of professional experience working with a wide range of environmental and site development projects throughout the US. He has experience providing strategic project management to successfully address our clients’ development concerns, and address liabilities from litigation and state and federal regulatory enforcement. Mr. Russell has provided consulting services to many business sectors including forest products, pulp and paper, metals casting, composite fiberglass, oil and gas, paint, and various manufacturing industries.
