Chartered Geologist Jamie Robinson has joined SLR Consulting as a Technical Director, based in the company’s Bradford on Avon office.
Accredited as a Specialist in Land Condition (SiLC), Jamie has previously worked for environmental consultancies in UK and Australia, is an examiner for the SiLC qualification and a scrutineer for the Royal Geological Society.
At SLR he is tasked with developing the company’s global geochemistry and hydrochemistry capabilities and his expertise will be invaluable to existing clients currently being supported by the company’s Water Environment, Land Quality, Landfill, Process Engineering and Oil and Gas teams.
Jamie uses a number of innovative geochemical tools to model the impact of brine and water injection at coal seam gas and managed aquifer recharge schemes. He also has significant experience in the prediction and treatment of acidic metalliferous mine drainage and in the design of passive treatment technologies. This has also included the use of wetland systems for treating landfill leachate and road drainage.

Jamie brings to SLR a variety of award-winning investigation techniques for the assessment of soil and groundwater contamination. He has extensive experience in quantitative human and ecological risk assessment and has completed many remediation projects – some of which use his Qualified Person (QP) registration.
