SLR has won its sixth consecutive gold safety medal from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for its excellent safety performance and dedication to the promotion of good health and a safe working environment.
The judges assessed SLR’s performance and procedures during 2014, a year in which an exceptionally low injury rate was achieved and health promotion was placed at the top of the Health and Safety (H&S) agenda.
Technical Director Andrew Turk, who is responsible for H&S in the UK and globally, said: “It is very gratifying that RoSPA has recognised the emphasis we place on H&S for the sixth year in a row. Just as rewarding is the fact that a recent internal H&S survey showed 95% of staff believed the company’s approach was exemplary when it comes to caring for their safety.
“We are particularly pleased about our H&S performance in the Oil and Gas sector, where figures show that our performance was twice as good as other O&G service companies.”
