SLR Set to Make Noise at Upcoming Conference
SLR’s Acoustics and Vibration professionals will attend the Australian Acoustical Society’s upcoming conference in Brisbane from 9 – 11 November. Acoustics 2016 will include topics such as active noise control, musical acoustics, transportation, environmental and underwater acoustic as well as building and architectural noise.
Principal consultant Michael Allan will present on Thursday 10 November on the topic of “Annoyance from the sudden onset of noise” whilst Associate consultant Dominic Sburlati will contribute to the discussion on Road Traffic Noise on Friday by presenting on the topic “OBSI measurements of road surface corrections to improve noise modelling predictions”.
Technical Officer James Boland commented that he is “looking forward to attending the event and presenting his findings on Pipeline Blowdown Noise Levels.” Furthermore, James comments that the event “provides an ideal platform to share key project findings and industry best practice with like-minded colleagues”.
SLR will also be represented at the workshop on the accreditation of acoustical consultants with Principal consultant Luke Zoontjens part of the panel discussion on Friday.
