SLR to Support on 315MW Onshore Wind Farm
SLR has been appointed to support Force 9 Energy with securing Section 36 consent for a potential 315MW onshore wind farm.
The Clash Gour project would be located near Elgin in northeast Scotland, with public exhibitions having recently been undertaken. The proposed development will be the subject of an application under Section 36 of the 1989 Electricity Act. SLR is working on the Environmental Impact Assessment for the wind farm – it is anticipated that scoping will be submitted in due course. Services being undertaken include planning, cultural heritage & archaeology and socio-economics, as well as the EIA project management.
Mark Brown, Sector Leader for Power at SLR, commented that; “I think our work on this project reflects SLR’s continued focus on the renewables sector. We remain committed to working with and supporting our clients to find efficient ways to develop projects in the new subsidy free world. In recent months we have been expanding our established Renewables team adding key recruits in EIA project management and civil engineering/hydrology.”
