SLR Launches Risk Assessment and Toxicology in Europe region

SLR has this week announced the further expansion of its Land & Water service offering with the launch of Risk Assessment & Toxicology in its Europe region. The additional expertise will be of great benefit to existing and new SLR clients involved with urban regeneration and development sectors.

Experienced Environmental Scientist Jamie Mills has been appointed as Technical Director and will be based from the company’s Maidstone Office. Jamie has over 25 years' industry experience and has had considerable professional exposure to a wide range of private sector clients in the UK and Europe. Jamie regularly acts as an expert witness in relation to the technical aspects of contaminated land liability and remediation.

Jamie is joined in the Maidstone office by Principal Roy Bailey, Technical Administrator Jayne Broughton and Senior Consultant Stacey Hagreen.

Commenting on the new technical capability in the region, Jamie remarked, “We are really looking forward to the opportunity to expand SLR’s risk assessment services and to collaborate with the experts that are already working in this area in Land & Water and Advisory Services. The aim is to increase the visibility of SLR’s offering to clients in this constantly evolving discipline and provide additional resources in the UK. We’re also hopeful of introducing the wide range of SLR’s services to new clients."

Speaking about the appointment, Alan Edwards, European Regional Manager, added, “It is great to welcome such an experienced and complementary team into the European Region that will help us further build our already deep capability in this area,  as well as diversify our services, and build presence in important sectors such as Industry and Built Environment.”
