Andrew Waterston

Biography

Andrew is a Senior Engineer within SLR's Power Networks team. He joined SLR after almost a decade of experience working for SSEN Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks.

After spending 12 years working in the automotive sector, Andy transitioned to the energy sector joining SSEN’s trainee engineering programme where he attained operational authorisations in addition to formal qualification. He has a wealth of experience installing, testing and repairing electrical distribution apparatus and managing operational teams as a Senior Authorised Person. He has comprehensive knowledge of distribution networks from low voltage up to 132kV holding roles in Substation Design and Construction, Outage Planning of EHV networks, and Connections Design.
