Nicola Herschell

Biography

Nicola is a Technical Director based in our Manchester office, who manages a team of consultants in SLR’s Carbon & Energy Management team. She has worked with a wide variety of large, multi-site organisations to manage their reporting obligations and to ensure Group and site-level compliance with carbon, energy and ESG legislation. Nicola has supported companies and provided technical training across a range of industry sectors including manufacturing, food & drink, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, data centres, distribution, private equity and professional services. She has in depth knowledge of GHG reporting (scope 1, 2 and 3), Climate Change Agreements (CCAs), the EU/UK Emissions Trading Scheme (EU/UK ETS), Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), and CDP.

Nicola also works with organisations to set targets, understand the strategies and opportunities to reduce their footprints and progress towards Net Zero, and to expand and improve their climate disclosure scoring through CDP, outlining the risks and opportunities to the business due to climate change, deforestation and water security.
