Challenge
As a bank with growing international importance, BCI recognised the need to provide stakeholders with evidence of their sustainability progress. Having already set ambitious KPI’s and underway with working towards them, BCI needed a partner to support them by backing up their results with an extra level of credibility.
Solution
To assess and verify the accuracy and completeness of BCI’s data collection, management and reporting, Corporate Citizenship (an SLR company) worked with the organisation to agree and assure a range of material indicators, including scope 3 value chain emissions, according to ISAE 3000, GRI and the GHG Protocol.
Impact
Corporate Citizenship’s work has enabled BCI to credibly demonstrate progress in their sustainability plan and 2030 net zero target to their stakeholders, as well as, for the first time, publish their social and environmental KPIs in their integrated Annual Report.
