Challenge
Traffic engineering consultancy services were required to undertake the Sustainable Transport component of a Green Star assessment for the approved commercial development, located in Macquarie Park, New South Wales. The development included 10 storeys of office uses and three levels of basement car parking.
Solution
SLR provided a Green Star Sustainable Transport technical memorandum based off initial advice. A Green Travel Plan was also prepared, which supported the provision of sustainable transport modes.
Impact
The potential strategies proposed assisted with encouraging sustainable transport modes for walking, cycling, public transport, car sharing and carpooling.
