Client Name
Techtronic Industries Company Limited
Location
Australia and New Zealand

Challenge

Techtronic Industries Company Limited (TTI) is a global leader in the manufacturing of power tools, accessories, hand tools, outdoor power equipment, floorcare and cleaning. As the company embarks on developing a sustainability strategy bespoke for the Australia-New Zealand region, TTI commissioned SLR to conduct a Materiality Assessment. The purpose was to identify the sustainability topics and angles most relevant for its business and stakeholders in the region to inform a best practice strategy.

Solution

A comprehensive review was carried out of emerging and well-established sustainability topics for the industry, both globally and in the region. Our team designed and implemented a stakeholder engagement plan to capture relevant internal and external perspectives. Insights were captured from both in-depth interviews and over 6,000 survey responses representing key internal and external stakeholders. Our team then analysed and synthesised research outcomes and facilitated two validation workshops with senior leadership to refine and agree on specific strategic actions.

Impact

Our Materiality Insights Report provided clear insight on what TTI’s sustainability priorities should look like and advice on strategic opportunities to define management decisions and inform future reporting.
