Challenge

Within the overall Springfield development area, Lendlease developments include Springfield Lakes, Springfield Rise and Springfield Central.

The development land is within the bounds of Ipswich City Council, on the western fringe of Brisbane, and includes low/medium density residential, neighbourhood centres, schools and sports fields.

Solution

SLR have been working with the Lendlease team to plan, design, assess and obtain approvals for many precincts and elements of the Springfield development.

Key elements of SLR services for the Springfield development precincts include the following:

  • Intersection traffic modelling (SIDRA)
  • Development impact assessment reports
  • Design advice for intersections, roads and traffic signal installations
  • Planning and design advice for active transport networks
  • Development approvals and appropriate approval conditions for specific development stages and precincts
  • Road safety audits and certification of roadside protection.
