About the business and role


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Associate or Principal level Contaminated Land Consultant to lead and grow SLR’s Land Quality and Remediation discipline in New South Wales. We are looking for an Associate/Principal Consultant to join our business and we offer the opportunity to develop your career with a strong organisation, with leading expertise and flexible working.


This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the APAC region. You will also work hand in hand with our APAC Technical Discipline Manager (Land Quality and Remediation) on continuing to lead and grow the discipline within NSW/ACT across a range of sectors. It will also provide you with the opportunity to further expand your experience within the Land Contamination field and build on your people/team leadership skills.

Job tasks and responsibilities


Articulate, motivated and reliable. You will have experience in Australia (particularly in NSW and ACT) and have a strong aptitude for People Management, Business Development and Client Relationships. A self-starter and a leader you will enjoy undertaking project work whilst building and developing client relationships throughout the region. You will also collaborate on projects and initiatives with the national Land Quality & Remediation discipline and the other teams within our multi-disciplinary business.



Skills and experience


To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • Relevant tertiary qualifications coupled with Environmental Consultancy working experience
  • High level Technical Expertise in contamination management
  • Direct client relationships and stakeholder management
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and people leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of the contaminated land industry in NSW as a minimum
  • Proven report writing skills and high computer literacy
  • Collaborative, innovative and flexible approach
  • Dynamic and creative working style
  • Good sense of humour and a proactive attitude
