Job DescriptionDue to continued plans for expansion SLR is looking to appoint a landscape architect at its Senior grade to join its busy, established team in Nottingham.
The person joining will have the opportunity to work on projects across the UK for a range of clients including developers, contractors and planners. You will work under the mentorship and supervision of SLR’s talented Landscape team, with encouragement and support to progress your P2C and become a Chartered Landscape Architect if not already Chartered.
Working within a diverse multidisciplinary consultancy, workloads will be varied, and you will also have the opportunity to develop strong reporting and LVIA skills. SLR’s Landscape teamwork with clients across a broad range of sectors, including Minerals, Waste, Energy and Built Environment.

Candidates joining Nottingham would be working with our environmental team in our new City Centre office close to the Lace Market, located in a newly refurbished, listed, building. The office excellent public transport links including the tram and the main railway station.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You would be working on a range of diverse and challenging minerals, waste, built environment and power projects, working alongside project managers and other technical disciplines. You would be involved in the preparation of LVIAs and illustrative information, as well as, supporting senior staff on design projects.
You should be interested in developing skills in project management and working with the team to develop new business and assisting in the preparation of fee tenders.
PERSON SPEC – SUMMARY
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- Landscape Architecture Degree, Postgraduate diploma and either holding or working towards Chartered status
- A good team player with excellent verbal/written communication and presentational skills.
- An understanding of landscape planning methodologies and experience at drafting related reports (skills in both technical report writing and in the preparation of graphic material are required).
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office (or equivalent), Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD
- An effective and confident communicator (both written and oral) to a broad audience, with the ability to work collaboratively.
