Anton Applecryn

Biography

Anton is based in our Townsville office and has 26 years’ technical and leadership experience in consulting engineering, forged across multi-disciplinary projects in South Africa and Australia.

His experience covers planning, investigation, design development, construction and operations management of a broad range of multi- disciplinary water resources projects across industries such as water supply authorities, municipal infrastructure, commercial development, industrial and mining environments. This includes bulk water pipelines, water supply and reticulation, wastewater treatment works and reticulation, sanitation systems, stormwater infrastructure, roads, bulk earthworks, engineering platforms, buildings and structures, hydraulics and hydrology, and tailings management and surface water management.

Anton’s experience in the field of dam engineering includes condition assessments, failure impact assessments, consequence assessments, dam safety inspections and reviews, hydrologic analysis, hydraulic design of spillways, and structural design of dams. He has also undertaken planning and design of site wide water management systems involving catchment diversions, creek diversions, levees and associated water and waste storage structures for regulated dams.
