Biography
Based in Leeds, Barney has more than 10 years’ experience in transport planning, as well as having specialist skills in micro-simulation modelling, strategic modelling, junction capacity assessments and development planning.
In his career, Barney spent time on secondment to Norfolk County Council, providing micro-simulation modelling and traffic analysis expertise. More recently, he has applied microsim models on a range of scheme appraisals, impact assessments, the development of mitigation strategies and the testing of new settlements. His diverse mix of public and private sector experience means he is ideally suited to advise clients on all modelling aspects required to support project delivery.
Barney holds an MSc in Transport Planning and a BA (Hons) in Geography with Transport Planning.
Outside of work, Barney spends his time trying to keep up with his daughter, cycling and walking his dogs.
