Biography

James is an experienced Director with a track record of transport planning, EV advisory, future mobility, highway engineering and multi-disciplinary projects. He has more than 25 years’ industry experience, including work in the UK, EU and USA.

He is an expert in analysing movement – by pedestrians, cyclists, public transport users and motor vehicles, including undertaking Electric Vehicle (EV) and Autonomous Vehicle (AV) assessments. James’ project experience ranges from Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and large mixed-use urban extensions to single dwellings with complex access issues. He has substantial Expert Witness experience, including at Public Inquiries.

With a background of working in the private and public sector, James has led transportation planning teams in a number of engineering practices and has been framework consultant to National Highways and several Local Authorities. James represents the private development sector on National Highways' Sustainable Development Steering Group and is a member of a National Design Review Panel.
