Biography

Jerome is based in the Northland office and has over 17 years’ planning and policy experience in central government, local government and the private sector. Jerome’s central government policy experience includes involvement in numerous legislative reforms and specialist expertise in RMA national direction. Jerome has been closely involved in the development and implementation of several national direction instruments, including those relating to infrastructure, indigenous biodiversity, highly productive land, , plantation forestry, climate change, renewable electricity generation and electricity transmission. Through these projects, Jerome has been involved in all aspects of policy development and played a lead role in provisions drafting, submission analysis and reporting, stakeholder engagement and section 32 evaluation reporting.

Jerome also has proven experience working with local government on policy projects that span the full Schedule 1 RMA process from initial scoping through to Environment Court mediation and hearings.
