Challenge

SLR undertook due diligence assessments across multiple sites in Queensland and New South Wales, which included over 10 of our technical discipline services. Kaufland were proposing to open a range of retail stores and were seeking a better understanding of environmental constraints when considering a range of sites.

Solution

Providing professional advice on environmental risks whilst minimising the costs incurred by Kaufland during early due diligence stages and identifying which development sites weren’t able to be progressed.

A staged approach was provided to Kaufland, where an initial desktop review was undertaken to clarify the potential of the site to be developed. Once a site cleared the initial review stage, furthermore detailed desk top analysis was undertaken to determine the viability
of the site.

Finally, site data and modelling were undertaken and summarised in a due diligence report to enable the client to confidently engage in terms of purchasing the development site.

Impact

SLR provided low cost and low risk outcomes to Kaufland for the assessment of numerous sites within a short time frame across large geographical areas.
