FLAG emissions appear in everyone’s value chain, they can be associated with food production and waste, land-use change (deforestation), and agricultural practices. In 2022 the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) introduced a methodology for calculating and setting targets for FLAG emissions based on the draft Greenhouse Gas Protocol Land Sector Guidance (expected to be published in final this year).
In this webinar we will outline a step-by-step process for calculating FLAG emissions and setting a science based target. We will discuss how this approach was applied to two companies and how they overcame the challenges they faced going through the process.
