Biography

Dr. Lohr, based in the Perth office, has substantial experience conducting fauna surveys across all regions of Western Australia, especially the Pilbara and Goldfields. His previous work has involved wildlife management and research in the United States, Honduras, and several Pacific islands. He brings an international perspective and a new set of techniques to an already experienced ecology team.

Over the course of his career, Mike has worked across government, academic, and private sectors. His strong research background includes a current adjunct affiliation with Edith Cowan University and authorship on more than 20 scientific publications on various aspects of wildlife ecology. Mike’s experience in developing complex applied research programs enables him to deliver innovative solutions and rapidly adapt survey and mitigation techniques to changing biological and regulatory landscapes. He brings particular expertise in monitoring and management of endangered birds, control of introduced plants and animals, and wildlife ecotoxicology.
