Sam Lawrence

Principal Geologist

Europe

Biography

Sam is a Chartered and European geologist with 12 years’ experience in the UK, European and Middle Eastern minerals industries.

His focus is on developing practical solutions to the challenges and opportunities faced by the modern industrial rocks and minerals industry. This is principally via the 3D modelling of reserves and resources. With robust and detailed estimations of chemical mineral quality, the business is best placed to achieve raw material quality targets, maintain emissions standards and maximise life of mine.

This combines the supervision of site investigation, assessment of reserves and resources via block modelling and volumetric analysis, quarry design and geotechnics. Sam also leverages these principles in the development of custom GIS applications, which enable operational teams to better control raw material quality and transition from reactive to predictive mineral extraction.
