Biography
Tegan has over 20 years of experience in the quarrying, mining, land use and development sectors and is well known for her experience in extractive industry, post extraction land use development, major project management and approvals process navigation.
Tegan assists the planning and environment sub-committee for Cement Concrete and Aggregates Australia (CCAA) providing ongoing assistance on planning and environmental legislation throughout Queensland and liaising with State and Local Governments on the drafting of legislation and Policy.
Tegan is also actively involved in training and awareness programs and events within the extractive industry, presenting at various conferences and functions and having co-written and delivered the Professional Development Program ‘Environmental Management for Quarries’ across Australia and New Zealand.
Tegan is a member of the Queensland Environmental Law Association and the Environmental Institute of Australia and New Zealand. Tegan is also an active member of the Institute of Quarrying Australia (IQA), having recently founded the Women in Quarrying initiative in Queensland and is the IQA National Women in Quarrying Coordinator, managing the roll-out of the initiative across Australia.
