Review of transport matters for Tottenham Hotspur FC Stadium

Client Name
Haringey Borough Council
Location
UK

Challenge

SLR was engaged by Haringey Borough Council to review all transport matters related to the opening of the new Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Stadium.

Solution

The stadium is supported by a comprehensive travel plan to promote non-car modes of transport. This includes the extension of the event day Controlled Parking Zone around the site, improved links to public transport, shuttle bus services, cycle parking facilities and ongoing monitoring and surveys.

Our experience of working on football stadia and the intensified travel patterns that result from these venues was invaluable on this project.

Impact

We reviewed the travel plan and event day management strategy on behalf of the council, providing technical feedback. We also worked closely with the football club travel plan coordinator.
