Biography

Dominic is a Technical Director based in our Wollongong office with over 20 years’ extensive geotechnical design and construction experience both in major infrastructure and relatively smaller projects in Australia and overseas including foundation for bridges, major construction platforms, embankments, retaining structures, slope stability assessment and ground improvement design.

He has been part of the various main alliance-based and D&C-based packages of the Pacific Highway upgrade, with on-site roles involving ground instrumentation and monitoring, back analyses for ground treated areas and design of foundations for bridges and culverts. His technical leadership roles have evolved from being the lead soft soil design engineer, to being the lead geotechnical engineer during the investigation phase, to being the geotechnical design manager.

Dominic relocated to Wollongong and has been providing technical leadership to his local team both in site-based and design-based works. While in Wollongong, he has been the lead geotechnical engineer in the Shell Cove boat harbour project in Shellharbour NSW, the Module Offload Facility for the Ichthys gas field and the onshore facilities at Blaydin Point in Darwin Harbour, the Stage 1 construction works of Canberra Light Rail project, various wharf and marine projects in the Pacific such as the Lombrum Infrastructure Project in Manus Island PNG, the landslide remediation detailed design works for Harry Graham Drive in Mt Kembla NSW and the East Nowra Sub-arterial Road ground improvement studies in Shoalhaven NSW.
