Biography

Mike is an experienced consultant based in our Brisbane office with 14 years' experience specialising in ecological mitigation, environmental conservation, environmental contracting, and project management, as well as species surveying projects across Europe, Asia, Central and South America and Australia. Mike's expertise is in ornithology, chiropterology, wetland ecology, wildlife conservation, protected species surveying, environmental offsets, mitigation, and management.

Mike has project managed and conducted a wide range of ecological surveys and reports ranging from baseline ecological assessment, to targeted species surveys including, Australian and European protected species, breeding, wintering, and migrating birds, invasive species, invertebrate, bat, reptile, amphibian and mammals.

Mike has also produced technical reports including ecological impact statement, environmental offset management plans, EPBC referrals and variations, technical due diligence, fauna management plans, high-risk species management programs and ecological appraisals. Mike has worked on a broad range of projects including, highway, water, government defence, rail, power station schemes (coal, nuclear), renewable energy schemes (wind, solar, hydroelectric), mining, housing and civil development schemes.
