Biography
Shawn Sun is an experienced ESD Consultant based in our Melbourne office with over 10 years of experience in the field of sustainability consultancy and environmental management. Shawn possesses a deep understanding of green building design, energy efficiency, and environmental impact assessments, with expertise in conducting energy modelling, sustainable management planning, sustainability benchmark assessment, and green building certification using various domestic and international rating tools. With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Shawn is able to deliver innovative solutions for clients across various industries, leading to improved environmental performance, cost savings, and regulatory compliance.
As a LEED AP, WELL AP and GSAP, Shawn is well-versed in the application of leading sustainability rating systems and have a proven track record of helping clients achieve their desired green building certifications. Shawn prides himself on the ability to effectively communicate complex sustainability concepts to diverse audiences and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Shawn is proficient in different simulation approaches using tools such as IES-VE, Firstrate5, HERO, BERS-PRO to develop accurate energy models to identify energy-saving opportunities and inform sustainable design decisions.
